Traning to be a Facilitator to go back Uni

I just arrived back terengganu... Took a flight to Kuantan and a cab back to my house. Its 2 hours drive from Kuantan airport back to my home here. But the experience in the training centre is great. Wonderful experience and a great place... Its quite nice. Im looking forward to going back there for my next training in 2 days time... on Friday Im flying of to KL again.

As I walked in.. I was impressed with the ambience.. A big and comfortable lobby.. really spacious with lots of sofas for you to relax, read newspapers and even to have a chatter with your friends.

Im quite impressed, for a training centre the provide a place to stay.. almost simillar to a hotel.
They even have a big company logo at the reception counter. This place really give the classy look and a sense of feeling proud to be working for the oil and gas company.

I manage to ask someone to take a picture of me standing in front of the company logo. Wow... what a creative way to design the logo.. I do love the design of their floor though.. maybe im easily impressed. But honestly, I had no idea the training centre was this classy. To be honest, I thought it was just a building with some rooms and run down equipment which is not properly maintained... broken airconditions as well, perhaps?
But I was so wrong, it changed my mind completely, was looking forward for the training the 2 days ahead.

Not bad fro the bedroom, with a 2 single beds, a big dressing table, an aircondition, and a big window... abit like a hotel room la... only thing is the tv does not have any astro... so quite boring la... no internet somemore... cannot blog or surf the net here. Least got a window with a good view outside.

Guesed who I met who were selected to be facilitators back to UTP? My seniors and super seniors... and being the only chinese guy (junior somemore) .... they treat me quite well la... since I was always smiling here and there and they treat me like a kid la... eventhought Im like... so much more taller than them.

And lastly, took a photo with the trainers... Pn. Nurhala and Mat Hussein. Really enjoy thier lecture. One of the things of being a facilitator is to encourage the students to open up and help them be more confident about themselves and their public speaking. During the trainig, was taught how to be an emphatetic listener and how to give contructive feedbacks to the students without hurting much of their ego.
The truth that I always know... its when people go though difficulty ... or when they get hurt. The thing the people desire most... is "to know that they have been HEARD"... Listening to people as they share their feelings and problems... and addressing to their feelings.. will help them.. help them to be acknowledge... of their existence and that people know that they are going through tough times... Have been a counceller to many people who had trouble... going through this course only helped me improved my interpersonal skills..
They time spent in the training centre had been a fruitful one... will look forward to go back there again for more of personal improvements.
Remember:
Secret of good communication....
"Seek first to understand... then only be understood."
