Just went to Kuantan and Kedah for Business trip

Its been a long time since i posted anything. Wonder how long has it been... my blogs seems to have stains and dust all around. :) but well.. i have been traveling lots so this is the first week in this month that i stayed back in kerteh.

went to KL first, at the CURVE in Damansara (i think). Guessed who i met? An old friend who was walking around. Because of his big head.. he tends to have lost his way here and there. So we took a picture together before I left

I went to Kuantan for a forum after that, but i did go to the Natural Batik centre and painted my own batik cloth. Cost me RM 8 for the stuff... Stayed in Hyatt Kuantan Resort for 3 days

After that it was packing my bags and off again to Kedah. Went to Penang airport and took a cab to Sungai Petani. The hotel i stayed is Park Avenue

Sungai Petani is a very peaceful place. With lots of shops and a few shopping mall.. even a cinema.. much more than what Terengganu can offer

Thats a picture of Gugan, Grace, Sylvia and me eating at a vegetarian shop. Gugan (indian guy) is vegetarian. But the shop owner claims that they have the most Spicy chili Mee in Malaysia. I'm not fond of chili ... so i ate something else. Gugan stood up to the challenge to eat "the most spicy mee in Malaysia"

And there is Gugan eating the spicy chili while Sylvia looks on.....

stayed in Kedah for another 2 days and pack my bags once again and off to Alor Setar airport (Capital of Kedah)... such a big airport but not much people around. And here I am back in terengganu =)

Magician's Blues

Just love the white jacket I bought. Cost me a bomb... Plus its so freaking hard to take care.. Have to wash often cause it gets dirty easily.

Spent my last few weekends in KL. Its good to be in the city and enjoy whatever Im doing there. Coffee and Eating "real food"... And been church really often.. heck.. 70 % of my time in KL is just going Cell Group in KL and the church there.

Would be doing some magic trick for the kids there. Something like a mild outreach. Hahahahah

Learning is part of life.. Trying to develope myself

Im learning something useful in my life... I have been reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, "Why we want you to be rich" by Robert and Donald Trump.

Would like to be financial literate... Can manage my savings better. Now im playing the game cashflow developed by Robert Kiyosaki. Learning is a great fun thing to do. If you like to learn about Cashflow game... here is a description I got from the promotional website:

"Cashflow 101 is a didactic game designed by investor, businessman, and self-help author Robert Kiyosaki to serve as a tool for learning basic financial strategies and accounting principals. Cashflow 101 is the first of several games created by Kiyosaki to reinforce the information in his books.

The board has two tracks: A "Rat Race" small circle where you only roll one die to advance, and a "Fast Track" where you roll two dice to advance. In the Rat Race you get paid for passing your Paycheck space, and then draw from one of four decks of cards depending on which space you've landed. Some of the deals are good, others are bad. Your main problem here is a shortage of cash. In the Fast Track your main problem is an excess of cash and finding investments to sink it into before you lose it to lawsuits, divorce or tax audits.

The heart of the game though are the player sheets where players learn how to fill out a financial statement. Players choose from a variety of starting careers (Truck Driver, Mechanic, Lawyer, Airline Pilot, etc.) and fill out their financial sheets appropriately. As they land cards and invest in different deals they dutifully log each change to their financial sheets as well. After a few games most people end up using the same financial sheets to fill out their own personal information.

With each card event the drawing player may buy at that price, but all players may sell at that price. Also, players may make co-investments with the drawing player or even buy the deal from him if they agree. Player deals are encouraged.

The game with few players is heavily biased towards real estate. With 5-6 players the cards are being drawn fast enough that the part time businesses pay off as well."

Traning to be a Facilitator to go back Uni

I just arrived back terengganu... Took a flight to Kuantan and a cab back to my house. Its 2 hours drive from Kuantan airport back to my home here. But the experience in the training centre is great. Wonderful experience and a great place... Its quite nice. Im looking forward to going back there for my next training in 2 days time... on Friday Im flying of to KL again.

As I walked in.. I was impressed with the ambience.. A big and comfortable lobby.. really spacious with lots of sofas for you to relax, read newspapers and even to have a chatter with your friends.

Im quite impressed, for a training centre the provide a place to stay.. almost simillar to a hotel.
They even have a big company logo at the reception counter. This place really give the classy look and a sense of feeling proud to be working for the oil and gas company.

I manage to ask someone to take a picture of me standing in front of the company logo. Wow... what a creative way to design the logo.. I do love the design of their floor though.. maybe im easily impressed. But honestly, I had no idea the training centre was this classy. To be honest, I thought it was just a building with some rooms and run down equipment which is not properly maintained... broken airconditions as well, perhaps?
But I was so wrong, it changed my mind completely, was looking forward for the training the 2 days ahead.

Not bad fro the bedroom, with a 2 single beds, a big dressing table, an aircondition, and a big window... abit like a hotel room la... only thing is the tv does not have any astro... so quite boring la... no internet somemore... cannot blog or surf the net here. Least got a window with a good view outside.

Guesed who I met who were selected to be facilitators back to UTP? My seniors and super seniors... and being the only chinese guy (junior somemore) .... they treat me quite well la... since I was always smiling here and there and they treat me like a kid la... eventhought Im like... so much more taller than them.

From Left: Chee Ying, Timothy, Wai Peng and Yik Hui...

And lastly, took a photo with the trainers... Pn. Nurhala and Mat Hussein. Really enjoy thier lecture. One of the things of being a facilitator is to encourage the students to open up and help them be more confident about themselves and their public speaking. During the trainig, was taught how to be an emphatetic listener and how to give contructive feedbacks to the students without hurting much of their ego.
The truth that I always know... its when people go though difficulty ... or when they get hurt. The thing the people desire most... is "to know that they have been HEARD"... Listening to people as they share their feelings and problems... and addressing to their feelings.. will help them.. help them to be acknowledge... of their existence and that people know that they are going through tough times... Have been a counceller to many people who had trouble... going through this course only helped me improved my interpersonal skills..
They time spent in the training centre had been a fruitful one... will look forward to go back there again for more of personal improvements.
Remember:
Secret of good communication....
"Seek first to understand... then only be understood."

Was jogging to the gym...

Was jogging to the gym the past few weeks. Mind you, when you are in terengganu,
YOU GOT NOTHING TO DO. So... mind as well keep fit la.. do some exercise and invest in sports and health la.

I normally jog to the gym. Which is about 2 km from where I stay. When I reach there, I either do some physical workouts or jog another 20 minutes on the track machine. After that, would walk back the same 2 km to my house.
Upon reaching home is a nice warm shower to freshen up

But today was different. While I was jogging.. I met a person whose car broke down by the roadside. He needed to borrow a phone to contact his friend for help. I lend him my phone and we tried fixing the car.

Not being a machanic... there isnt much really I could help but wait for his friend. So... to make the long story short. Friend came... fixed car... I went off... Though I wasted about 1 hour just accompanying the guy at the roadside

But it is still a great feeling to be able to help others. It feels great to be alive. You feel as though life has more meaning

Still love to do magic tricks.. still improving card manipulation skills. Doing a double fan as shown on the right hand side.

Going through rough times

Im going through rough times. Makes me feel that I regret helping people.
Some people.... I dont want to say... but I feeling really negative here.
I just realize I still have high expectation on people. (christians especially)

Having some people pissing me off... may the Lord strike them...
thats how I feel. But its my right to stop being nice... I will... soon...
I will be defending myself soon... will rebuke people in a very very mild
way... I am so wanting to go to the other extreme...wanting to be a bad person

Working for an extra 3 days leave

Its strange... God is giving me what i want. But I have to work hard. I thought coming back from Chinese New Year would be really slow moving in the office.

I came back, to my supprise my boss wants me to do another animation for her. They past 4 months, I have been doing 2 montage already and its being recycled for events. Was nice when you see the credits and your name appears that you are the designer and the author of the animation.

This event seems really important. That my boss was really hoping that I would step up to the challenge. And all other work was taken from me and distributed to collegues to do. So that I could concentrate on producing the animation.

I negotiated with my boss for working on the weekends and I am given 3 days replacement leave. Now I would have more leaves to come back Sabah or travel around. But im hoping to use the leave to come back Sabah or spend time with ____________

Helping out fellow christian brothers

Amazing... when I was at the airport, going back to terengganu. And I prayed to God, I want christian friends. To fellowship with me... to build each other.... to talk about christian stuffs.... and not to feel alone in this place. So dry in the spirit.

Something happened this morning
I met 2 interns who were working for my company for 3 months. and they were looking for a place to stay. I gladly offered my house for them to stay. My house got an empty room and they desperately needed for a place to stay.
To my supprise, they asked me for a church to go to. I was so encouraged.... I was supprise that they both were actually christians.

God puts people at the right place and at the right time. I needed friends ... CHRISTIAN FRIENDS. and both of them needed a house and I gladly helped them out. How amazing can put people to meet each other. Both of them are gonna be my housemate for 3 months starting tomorrow.

I drop by KL on new year before I went back terengganu

And I bought a few.. lor.. here is the first model completed

GUNDAM STRIKE NOIR
BLACK!!! its a cool black gundam... hahahah one of the best design ever!
WITH DUAL GUNS!!! WONDERFUL!!!

This model is just a small size... 1/144 size... really cool with the dual guns and the swords and
it comes with a stand... to make it look like its flying. wow... this cartoon for this gundam model is not even in the market yet.

(will polish and paint this model and then... start on my next gundam project... its a big robot... master grade GUNDAM AILE STRIKE 1/100)

well... it took me 3 days to finnish it.. and i used some markers to highlight some parts of the model kit. well these kind of hobbies can make me neglect my girlfriend ( i mean... my future gf) lol... i hope my future gf dont throw it out.... that is... if i ignore her because of being too focus on building the robot kit. hahahahaha.
